The brick. I have been in this room my whole life. From a cot in 1987 all the way till now, 2016.
How useful has your day been? Stop and think about this.
Now look at the pictures. The brick. The houses. The cupboards. The room. Focus on the brick.
How useful has your life been? I am 28. Out of those years let's pick a reasonable 8 years from the age of 20.
Well if you have done your thinking, that brick has stood and served its purpose for alot more than 28 years of my existence. In fact probably slightly more than triple.
If that brick could talk. It could probably tell alot about me.
If you have not seen the point I'm trying to make. Think.
It's about purpose of life. Being useful. Not being idle. Passing time with good use. I've always wanted to write something about this but now I am. It reminds of me the surah Al Asr.
The surah talks about time. The importance of time.
Are we as useful as that brick? Passing time and serving our purpose?
Or are we just...idle?
